We are sometimes asked to help fit a house onto a new site, which means we get into a significant design process. We ask many questions about the site: About house plans and views, about soils and drainage, about access and major paved surfaces, about light from the sun and wind and shade and what grows on the site already. We are happy to have a chance to guide the development of a new place and a new garden and landscape. We think our influence on the results is worthwhile, sometimes very worthwhile.
We are often asked to come and give a review of a garden, a service that others call “Garden Doctor or Garden Advisor.” Our help can range from concerns about trees and plants and pests to drainage and privacy and maintenance and plant choices. We are happy to do this (on the weekends). We operate according to a Fee Schedule, which we will give you when we see you or make a proposal.
